Lamentations 2:22
Bible › Lamentations › Chapter 2 › Verse 22
Thou hast called as in a solemn day my terrors round about, so that in the day of the Lord’s anger none escaped nor remained: those that I have swaddled and brought up hath mine enemy consumed. You summoned my attackers on every side, as for the day of an appointed feast. In the day of the LORD’s anger no one escaped or survived; my enemy has destroyed those I nurtured and reared.

- Jeremiah 16:2-42 Thou shalt not take thee a wife, neither shalt thou have sons or daughters in this place. 3 For thus saith the Lord concerning the sons and concerning the daughters that are born in this place, and concerning their mothers that bare them, and concerning their fathers that begat them in this land; 4 They shall die of grievous deaths; they shall not be lamented; neither shall they be buried; but they shall be as dung upon the face of the earth: and they shall be consumed by the sword, and by famine; and their carcases shall be meat for the fowls of heaven, and for the beasts of the earth.2 “You must not marry or have sons or daughters in this place.” 3 For this is what the LORD says concerning the sons and daughters born in this place, and the mothers who bore them, and the fathers who fathered them in this land: 4 “They will die from deadly diseases. They will not be mourned or buried, but will lie like dung on the ground. Yes, woe be to them when I turn away from them! 13 I have seen Ephraim, like Tyre, planted in a meadow. But Ephraim will bring out his children for slaughter. 14 Give them, O LORD— what will You give? Give them wombs that miscarry and breasts that dry up! 15 All their evil appears at Gilgal, for there I hated them. I will drive them from My house for the wickedness of their deeds.
